We’re very excited that the PBS NewsHour will be airing a fantastic KQED report tonight on the culture and artwork that emerged at this year’s Burning Man event, and the impact they off playa, year-round.
The piece features a number of Burning Man artists you may recognize, such as the Flaming Lotus Girls, as well as an interview with Tomas McCabe, Executive Director of the Black Rock Arts Foundation.
Check your local listings, and tune in!
Once it’s available, we’ll update this post with the archived video of the segment.

It’s great to see Burning Man get mainstream attention! I really hope to see more features like this in the future. There are so many people who would love to put Burning Man on their bucket lists if they only knew about it. Burning Man should produce television commercials like Disneyland does. There’s so much money to be made out of this event. LOVE IT!

This appears to be it. It’s funny to see the seriousness of PBS mixed with the whimsy that is Burning Man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfJIRvRA2MA
