Hello I am a young man lost in the world of my mind, wondering what and why I have been placed on this earth. I only turned 18 two years ago today and never felt the passion to explore BURNINGMAN and it’s wonderful offerings. I was bummed to hear 2021 got canceled but have my eyes on 2022. Creating and brainstorming fun costumes I can make at home with recycled climbing ropes, chains, and cloths. I am here to say hello and ask where I might be able to get a copy of BURNINGMAN 365 guidebook.

We will indeed build Black Rock City 2021…it’s maybe diluted and only Burning Man “ish” , but it will have the flavor and the magic of the Playa

This is great and all, but mostly we need to build Black Rock City. BRC is the crucible of the culture. Without it the culture will wither and is withering.
The City has never been whole, building it has never been safe, living in it has never won the moral approval of the default. Seeking to achieve these things is an objective in the way of a mission.
What might be better than a handbook or another documentary or advice on how to camp or how to be virtual is to go ahead and start submissions and ticket sales.
Get 2022 locked in with an unfailing momentum!

Hello!
Just wanted to add a potential theme for next year.. “Interbeing”. It’s an idea based on all living things as an aspect of a connected organism, life – and in essence it holds the value that “what we do to others, is what we do to ourselves – and perhaps vice versa” (in my understanding of it). If we need to implement safety protocols that require new rules, I reckon it could collect the community to behave in a more inclusive and respectful way – both towards each other, but also to the playa, the ecosystem, and of course, beyond – in the many ways it can be interpreted. I also think it upholds BM principles.
When we do determine it is for the better good to return to the main burn, I see this theme being a collective positive that embodies respect, kindness, safety, and self-care. Wanted to share this thought, because albeit rare, I just knew I was supposed to. For whatever reason.
Wellness, warmth and light to anyone to read these words. My heart is fortified in presence and peace, knowing I am part of this community.

love this idea of of still coming together to xperiance the lite-mode of being a burner , since i will be a 1st timer i was planning on going there ,living in Reno allows for that ,not knowing of the plans for the Playa this will be a great experiance and glad i won’t have to be alone.is there going to be tickets i’m hoping not since i really can’t afford it but the playa is huge with plenty of places to go and will that be ok thanxxx Mike
