Why Don’t You Come With Me, On A Mythical Carpet Ride…

I like to dream, yes

Right between my sound machine

I like to dance, yes

On the Black Rock,

Burning Man’s erotic cosmology…

Where Psyche is birthed on Playa’s ground

Wordless music all around.

Explore the psyche-

           If you dare,

Imagine abyss residing there.

On a cloud of sound I drift in the night

Any place it goes is right

Goes far,

flies near,

to the stars away from here.

Fairies, freaks

  Forces and fire

Leopards and lovers

Subconscious desire.

Sex and soul standing tall

Beside The Disgusting Spectacle.

Tantric kisses replacing touch

         coming to life from out her dust;

down from the cosmos,

starlit trust.

Birthed from within

   this psyche of mine….

Visual image becomes Divine.

Well, you don’t know what we can find.

Why don’t you come with me little girl?

On a mythical carpet ride…

Sweat cascading down heaving breasts

                            Disappearing into every breath,

Tears of Prayers and sounds of sighs.

Swarming clouds of butterflies,

intoxicating winks of the Lotus eye.

Ancient truths, instinct container,

        Carried through playa

with a magical flute player.

Remind me, O’ Mother, where have we been?

Where primal beats wake primal minds

                             Reptilian brain, its rhythm finds.

Angry beats, dancing beats

Pulsing bodies around the drum.

Burdened beats, radiating beats.

Tribal poundings,

Trance, dance, chance,

Elucid dreams of pressure…

Gluing fragile wings of glory

                         back onto the child.

You don’t know what we can see

Why don’t you tell your dreams to me?

Fantasy will set you free…

Amnesia, fetish, bipolar, oh my

Delirium, gestalt, ego reply

Between the shores of contrast and peace

Timelessness, space and liberty.

Close your eyes girl!

                    Imagination find girl!

Look inside girl,

A mirror of chaos perhaps you’ll spy!

Let the burn take you away……

Last night I held Aladdin’s lamp

And so I wished that I could stay

A whirling dervish where the phoenix flies

Dream filled minds’ vibrating cry.

And so I wished that I could stay

And dance with sun at ancient pace

And dance, and drink, immerse, enfold

                                           Uncover psyche, her pieces hold…

Before the thing could answer me

Well, someone came,

& took the lamp away.

I looked around,

a lousy candle is all I found.

I looked around,

   Circus stilts I see

Humankind climbing history.

I looked around,

Sacred temples I see

Humankind in silent reverie.

Well, you don’t know what we can find

                 On a mythical carpet ride…

 Glows that pull,

             Lamps that lead,

Guiding costumed believers

Down darkened streets.

A lustful arcade

               where some can hide,

Temples of release,

Emotions start to metabolize.

Windows into the wishing well

Secrets out, the world to tell!

Why don’t you come with me little girl?

                On a mythical carpet ride…

Why don’t you fly with me little girl?

Through frozen silence of archetype.

Heebeegee yoga, lunashine,

Irrational geographic, bedlam at nine…

Spiraling wings dig down new heights.

Witch, great warrior, Goddess,

gentle giant’s delight.

Patterns, masks, screaming men in white robes,

                           Opened wide for all

                                       Who see

                                                    To love!

          Exhale…

A jazz oasis,

                         embody your dream,

Lace petal lips encircle the crowd,

The tender touch of a floral kiss…

Meditation,

                Creation,

The Pollen of Kindness,

                Generosity;

                                           Unacceptable Mediocrity!

Well, you don’t know what we can see

Why don’t you tell your dreams to me?

Fantasy will set you free!

Close your eyes girl,

Look inside girl,

Let the burn take you away……
