The Ephemeral Architecture of Burning Man

Long-time Burner Philippe Glade has completed his new book “Black Rock City, NV: The Ephemeral Architecture of Burning Man“. This photographic encyclopedia contains 196 examples of the various forms of rugged, functional and temporary desert architecture to be found at Burning Man.  Philippe has painstakingly documented these structures over the course of 14 years, from 1996 to 2010.  Even if you’re not (but especially if you are) into architecture porn, this book will make a great addition to your Burning Man library.

    Way to go Philippe!

As far as all the other stuff goes, I have seen that video. I only wish for that couple and the kid to be happy! They looked happy and they should be.

I was going to post a good blog review about the book, but man… this is an interesting blog.

My brother and I bought The Ephemeral Architecture of Burning Man book. And it is giving us idea what to do this year.

Sure what I have been reading is a totally different subject.
I hope the management of Burning Man will do something about this.
But I have to say that in the last couple of years we are getting people attending with different value than what it was before. Burning Man is not a commercial place. Or it was not. I guess that’s how it goes.

I like the book. I recommend it.

I wonder why Burning Man management let someone to get away with murder in selling prints and books when they explicitly say they monitor all photographers’ material printed and digital.
The guy “humanlightsuit” (no name mentioned) just thrown out of the Venice Art walk for illegal and strange activities, sells stuff for which Burn Man has all the rights.
    And yet this happens.
It defeats the whole sense of Burning Man.

Interesting to know about the book and intriguing to know about the photographer.
IS this how the organization works?
Anyway, I want to see Glade’s book! I will check into it.

I wish everybody would shut up and enjoy the Glade’s work!
All the rest, it’s an issue for the officials at Burning Man.
I have seen things around too for this guy. But non of my business and to be so mean, not worth be.
Again: Burning Man Organization should do what’s right and find the truth and the evidences.
    Two thumbs up for Glade.
Two thumbs for whoever does illegal things at the expenses of the Organization.
