Brilliant Ways To Burn

Burning Man 2020 was the worst ever…but it was WAY better than I thought it would be!

I had tons of legit Playa experiences once I surrendered and fully Participated in physical and digital Burns.

People DID experience Playa magic.
People DID get cracked open.
People WOKE Up to their artistic gifts.
People BELONGED in community.

And it felt like HOME.

You can hear my full review of the week here, but this video is a highlight, with the backdrop of some of the brilliant ways that people Burned this year.

Now that we know that we can do it under these conditions, what should we do in the default world next!?!?

Like always, there was WAY too much to do during Burn Week. I actually enjoyed the familiar FOMO feeling. Personally, I focused a few physical and digital expressions for Burn Week:

  • Daily Online Gratitude Circles  (Zoom & VR)
  • A Front Porch Theme Camp
  • Gifting to the Homeless
  • A Pink Love Bike Parade

I’m super inspired by how people Burned around the world. Don’t get me wrong…I REALLY want to go back to Black Rock City, but it is nice to know that the magic is not location-dependent.
